How we label prices and sources.
Cash Medical is a pricing-research and patient-introduction site, not a healthcare provider. We separate editorial research from provider matching and label the consent path accordingly.
Price language
Prices on this site are planning ranges or examples unless a page clearly identifies a specific provider quote. They are not offers or guarantees. A useful current price is an itemized written quote from the provider or facility that will actually deliver the service.
US public-price sources
CMS Hospital Price Transparency rules require covered hospitals to publish standard charges, including discounted cash prices, in machine-readable files. For uninsured or self-pay consumers, federal No Surprises Act rules generally require a Good Faith Estimate for scheduled care when the rules apply, and a federal dispute process may be available when a provider’s bill is at least $400 above that provider’s estimate.

Financial assistance
Tax-exempt hospital organizations must maintain written financial-assistance policies under Internal Revenue Code section 501(r). Eligibility and amounts vary by hospital.

Colombia credentials
For Colombian healthcare professionals, ReTHUS is the government registry patients can use as one credential check. Registration is not the same thing as a recommendation, quality score or outcome guarantee.
Population statistics
When we cite the number of uninsured people in the United States, we use the latest Census Bureau annual coverage report and identify the year. The 2025 report estimated 26.7 million people were uninsured for the entire year.

Provider introductions and compensation
Price research does not automatically share your inquiry with providers. Provider matching is a separate opt-in path. When you request matching and consent, we may share the inquiry with up to 3 relevant providers. We may receive referral or lead compensation. Paid participation does not purchase editorial rankings or favorable coverage.
